About the Melbourne Children’s Sleep Centre at Monash Health

The Melbourne Children’s Sleep Centre is staffed by consultant sleep and respiratory paediatricians, sleep scientists and nurses experienced in the diagnosis and management of all paediatric sleep disorders.

The Melbourne Children’s Sleep Centre provides an inpatient sleep study service performing nearly 1000 sleep studies on patients each year, an outpatient home oximetry service, a non-invasive ventilation service and an apnoea monitoring service.

About The Role

We are excited to offer 2 temporary overnight shifts (18 hours) per fortnight (Mondays each week) to a Paediatric Sleep Nurse within the Melbourne Children’s Sleep Centre at:
• Monash Children’s Hospital Clayton

The Melbourne Children’s Sleep Centre operates Monday to Friday evenings, with a set roster based on a fortnightly template. Overnight shifts are from 10.30pm – 7.30am (9 hrs), and duties involve the continuous overnight monitoring of paediatric patients undergoing overnight sleep studies, as well as removal and cleaning of all sensors after the study in the morning.

About You

You are a Registered Nurse with Paediatric experience, adept at working with varied monitoring equipment and software systems. You thrive working in a dynamic team and are truly passionate about delivering a high standard of evidence based care to all patients. You are an advocate of Monash Health’s Strategic Guiding Principles.

What you need:

  • Registered Nurse Degree/equivalent

  • Demonstrated experience in Paediatrics

  • Australian working rights
