Shping started out as a small start-up from Melbourne in 2017 and has now grown to be a trusted partner 100’s of product brands across food & beverage, health & beauty, electronics, apparel and jewellery categories. We identified that there was a real disconnect between product brands sold in major brick and mortar retailers and their customers. We now have a suite of solutions for CPG brands across product awareness, product engagement, product reviews & audience insights.

Reporting to the CEO, the Sales Director will be responsible for selling Shping’s for Brands portfolio of digital marketing and engagement services into the CPG sector. This includes developing and maintaining a target list of potential clients, out-bound prospecting to develop a pipeline of opportunities, creating proposals, pitching to potential new clients, and closing new business for the company.

The Sales Director is a senior direct contributor role that will have the opportunity to potentially manage a team with the company growth in future. You should have a strong understanding of digital marketing and a proven track record driving end-to-end sales processes from initiation to closure. While Shping for Brands has experienced growth in ANZ, the culture remains entrepreneurial so someone who is self-motivated with high energy will be best suited to this exciting role.

You will likely have an agency, professional service Sales/BD or CX tech sales background and have been working with the retail/consumer goods industry. 


  • Identify, manage, and close business while meeting or exceeding revenue plan.
  • Develop a healthy sales funnel with opportunities at various stages. 
  • Perform sales presentations to potential clients in different sectors, to strategic partners and to other parties.
  • Develop and implement a sales strategy business plan. 
  • Establish a keen understanding of competitors in market and the ability to communicate Shping for Brands competitive advantages to win accounts.
  • Effective preparation, presentation and follow up of sales and marketing programs.
  • Ensure customer satisfaction through great relationship management. Ability to develop and implement company reports, plans and projects. Seek opportunities to continuously develop sales competencies. Develop and manage effective relations with our strategic partners.
  • Take personal responsibility for staying informed and up to date with industry trends and themes.

  • Sales, Marketing, Understanding logistics or related fields. 
  • Marketing and digital experience desirable.
  • Proven ability to set and reach targeted goals.
  • Outstanding customer service and relationship management with distribution channels is a must.
  • Must possess a high level of integrity and good business judgment. 
  • Strong interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills.
  • Comfortable using technology to credibly present to high-level executives.
  • Strong organisational and project management skills.
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Office and Windows-based computer applications.
  • The role may require some interstate travel.
