The Opportunity:

A challenging and rewarding opportunity has become available for a dedicated, driven and energetic sales orientated person in Mt Isa as a Heavy Equipment Customer Support Sales Representative (CSSR). Reporting to the Customer Support Sales Manager - Construction, the purpose of this role is to deliver the highest possible level of customer service, driving positive sales growth and further strengthening customer relationships. This position is an integral part of the success of the Mt Isa Branch.

The person we're looking for is a talented individual who is a solutions orientated salesperson with excellent people and problem-solving skills. You will thrive on the challenge of increasing sales through lead generation and conversion of opportunities. You will seek to understand your customers' needs and work closely with your manager to develop sound strategies to maximise sales results. The Role:

The successful individual for this position will be conversant in Komatsu's range of products and services and will work enthusiastically to actively build customer relationships. A key component of this role will be to maximise investment in customer visits and delivering value to the customers and selling appropriate solutions from the full range of Komatsu products and services.

The knowledge, skills and abilities we’re looking for:

  • Sales experience or a strong background in mining and earthmoving equipment sales, as a Customer Support Representative (CSR), Parts Interpreter or in another comparable position
  • Prior experience in the earth moving industry and a strong mechanical aptitude
  • Drive, resilience and persistence (a sales hunter)
  • Pipeline management and analysis experience
  • An ability to apply both professional and technical skills effectively
  • Strong customer service skills; with a proactive approach in identifying opportunities
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • A proven ability to build rapport quickly and maintain professional relationships
  • Efficiently work within Microsoft Office suite software
  • Current driver's licence
