Reporting to the GM USA the SDR is ultimately responsible for lead conversion. As a key member of the newly created Australian Team, this role requires a very self-motivated, autonomous salesperson who thrives on seeing prospects convert to sales and also a strong conduit between the customer and the sales team.

Your primary responsibility will be to help turn leads into qualified opportunities. You will follow up on leads as well as identifying your BD opportunities. The role will entail outbound calls, qualification, consultative selling skills, and partnering with the relevant Account Manager to generate new opportunities.

They use aerial imagery and image processing to monitor crops. Using a uniquely developed web application gives farmers ongoing and fluid imagery over their fields over specified periods, making them more time-efficient and profitable


Being a very self-motivated, autonomous salesperson who thrives on seeing prospects convert to sales, you will be the conduit between the customer and the sales team.

Your role will entail:

  • Unearth prospects and opportunities to pass onto the sales team
  • Confidently interacting with leads on the telephone gaining all necessary information as for the sales process
  • Tracking of all relevant reporting and communication
  • Following a stringent process, with accountability and follow up
  • Understanding the business and the equipment to provide necessary consultation
  • Distribute the opportunity to the right area of the business for further follow-up
  • Identify key decision-makers in the process and effectively communicate the value proposition
  • Respond knowledgeably and confidently to objections and difficult questions.


  • 1+ year of proven excellence in sales development, inside sales and/or sales
  • Experience in using CRM system (use of Salesforce and Salesloft would be a huge bonus)
  • Experience in the agriculture or farming industry would be a strong plus
  • Strong understanding of leadership development best practices and procedures
  • Can work autonomously
  • Driven and self-sufficient
  • Outstanding resilience and commitment to follow up
  • An experienced negotiator who can handle push back and detailed questioning
