As the Technical Specialist, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring that all POS systems and Store Mobility Apps are functioning for Team Members and Managers on the trading floor. In addition, you will manage issues in a manner that reduces impacts on our stakeholders and provide solutions ensuring the issue does not occur again.

About the Role:

  • Daily operation and availability of POS and interfaces, and Customer Engagement applications, keeping stores capable of trade
  • Liaise with and manage vendors and customers (Team members and Store Operations/Managers), and their expectations
  • Issue Management, evolution and resolution
  • Support of applications that enable trade and customer engagement
  • Provide Subject Matter Expert (SME) input to new initiatives

About You:

  • Seasoned experience in Java development and support
  • Demonstrated experienced in MQ and Message Broker Pub/Sub environments and support tools
  • Expertise in administration of Websphere Application Server
  • Experience performing Root Cause Analysis
  • Familiar with legacy Windows and Intel environments
  • Familiar with Linux environments including shell scripting
  • Exposure to DB2 databases, advantageous
  • Working knowledge and understanding of Point Of Sale (POS) Systems, advantageous
  • Exposure to ITIL business practices, advantageous
  • Good communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
  • Willingness to participate in an on-call support roster and provide service outside of normal business hours (including weekends)
