The Role

This is a broad, end to end role, where you'll have an opportunity to expand your skills and collaborate with a large team of talented HR professionals. You’ll be working with a diverse group of internal stakeholders; with people at our energy generation sites, contact centres, as well as corporate support functions - which presents a variety of different work activity to be involved with. Our People and Culture team is a valued support function at EA, and as such we have several exciting projects on the go. This position is filled with opportunities to get involved and to make the role whatever you want it to be!

This is a true generalist, hands-on role that involves:

  • Being the first contact point for any and all people related general queries - including advice on policy interpretation, EBA application and process activities
  • Owning and managing multifaceted people cases around performance, health, engagement and general grievances, with the need to consider business, employee and third party perspectives
  • Assisting leaders with operation and administration support for the end-to-end employment life cycle
  • Supporting and/or leading small to medium scale change activities
  • Providing education and coaching to people leaders on a range of topics - to uplift their confidence and the capability of their teams
  • Supporting a range of ad-hoc people projects - which we always aim to align with your areas of interest

Our Ideal Candidate

Our ideal candidate can naturally adapt their style to stakeholders at all levels and professional backgrounds. We’re looking for someone who’s self-motivated, has lots of initiative and isn't afraid to roll up their sleeves. You'll be able to learn and adapt quickly in different situations, and can apply those learnings to similar scenarios thereafter. Due to the nature of the role, we’re seeking candidates with the following qualifications, skills and experience:

  • A well-rounded background of generalist HR experience - ideally around 5 years or so
  • Experience supporting all end-to-end employment life cycle activities
  • Tertiary qualifications in Human Resources or a relevant field coupled with demonstrated generalist experience
  • Experience using a HRIS system; SAP or SuccessFactors would be highly regarded
  • Experience working with and supporting high-volume people queries
