Your new company
An inner city Council in Melbourne requires an immediately available Minor Capital Works Officer to join the team on an initial 3 month contract to assist the team in delivering a range of works across the local area including child care centre upgrades, painting, roofing repairs and other minor projects to benefit the community. With a supportive management team, you will have access to some systems training in the first week, however, prior experience in the construction project field + white card is required so that you can jump on board and start delivering projects immediately.

Your new role
Reporting to the Coordinator, you will be required to:

  • Manage and coordinate minor works projects up to the value of $150k in Local Council
  • Coordinate administration tasks including raising of POs, reporting and budgeting
  • Ensuring site safety is a priority, upholding Council OHS policies and ensuring contractors are safe on site with correct insurances
  • Liaise with end users and community members to ensure time frames and project works are met in a safe and seamless manner

What you'll need to succeed
To be successful, you will have:

  • Tertiary qualifications in Building & Construction, Engineering, Project Management or Architecture
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Prior knowledge and exposure to Techone systems is an advantage
  • Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team
  • White card
