We’re a diverse team of creatives, developers, data scientists and content producers who work across a variety of experiences in social impact & entertainment. While we’ve raised over $20m+ for charities, and our work has screened & been recognised globally – we think we can do better. And we want to do more.

That’s where you come in.

We’re looking for a Product Owner / Business Analyst who will live and breathe Goods. In short, it’s your mission to take the vision of our two co-founders (one heads up a global NGO and the other has over 20+ years in the media, advertising & production space) and turn them into real-world products and experiences that our users love.

With a production pipeline already brimming with projects in various stages of development, you’ll need to hit the ground running. This is a truly hands-on role – one that empowers you to define and execute go-to-market plans to ensure that our impact teams and projects have what they need to be successful. But it’s also about helping us shape Goods itself. We’ll be relying on you to take the lead on interpreting our business strategy into platforms, technology, user experience and creative design that will define the Goods experience in the years ahead.

We know you can’t distil a role or a candidate into simple, bite-sized bullets of information – but it’s always helpful to know the kinds of qualities we’re after and that you’re (hopefully) eager to develop:

  • You’re an innovator: with problem-solving in your DNA, every new project is an opportunity to step back and ask – how can we do this better than the last time... and maybe in a way no one's seen before?;
  • You’re meticulous: multitasking yet never losing attention to detail;
  • You’re a digital native: zeroing in on the critical insights amidst an ocean of data and using them to develop and improve products that aren’t just superficial – but instead truly and meaningfully benefit the ultimate user;
  • You’re a doer: there’s a lot of doing to be done and we’re a tight, hardworking team – so you know how to be productive (and measure it);
  • You’re versatile: a product owner with business analyst skills, or a business analyst with product owner skills… either way you’ll need both hats (worn separately). Unless you’re Pharrell – in which case go ahead and wear as many hats as you like, you baller;
  • You take charge: when we say ‘owner’, we mean it. You’ll be responsible for both the innovation and end-to-end launch of products – a genuine go-to-woe position; and
  • You’re also just a candidate, standing in front of a founder, asking them to hire you: we mentioned we work in entertainment, right? We’re not saying a love of film and TV is mandatory, but boy will it help with the workplace jokes and references.

Time for those fiddly bullet points.

  • Product management and/or business analyst experience in consumer, SAAS or B2C software technologies;
  • Relevant qualification(s), preferably a degree in IT, CS, psych, design or equivalent vocational experience;
  • A proven track record of developing and testing product features from conception through to completion that improved user experience;
  • Product & project management skills and methods, with the ability to interpret business strategy into IT product roadmaps, user stories, and deliveries;
  • Experience with design thinking and experience in product development – from ideation to commercialisation with a track record of iteration with increasing feature value;
  • Experience working with a variety of supplier / resource models, including matrix, managed services and multiple suppliers;
  • Adept at partnering with stakeholders and customers across the organization to inform the product vision, strategy, features, and prioritization; and
  • Computer literate across all the usual things: word, excel, power button, not spilling coffee on the keyboa%%#@&@!
