About Your Role

The OneSky Australia Project is first of its kind in the world, the high-profile nature of the project garners excitement and innovation. The integration of civilian and military Air Traffic Management Systems (CMATS) through common operational and technical requirements will improve safety, security, interoperability and sustainment. It will also improve efficiency, capacity and support harmonised Air Traffic Management processes and procedures for collaborative flow management and dynamic flexible use of airspace.

The Systems Architect is an integral to providing on time delivery of system design services and support to the project, along with the provision of guidance/assistance as required to other technical teams (SW, V&V, INT and HDI) in regard to design solution, architecture and functional baseline. The System Architect is responsible for designing and documenting solution proposals, providing technical oversight, ensuring that the designed solution is implemented as per the design and in accordance to the project/bid schedule and cost and quality constraints.

To be successful in the role you will be a system engineer with functional analysis expertise and a focus on architecture and design. You would have worked within multiple architecture solutions like sensors, sonar, radar etc.

You will bring experience in:

  • Delivery of systems engineering services to tight timelines

  • Clear understanding of systems engineering processes and functional baseline management (specification writing, requirements analysis, traceability, system level design / architecture / interface, requirements management)

  • Experience in total life cycle of software development including processes and responsibilities at each stage in the cycle

Your qualifications and knowledge:

  • Engineering or Computer Science Degree or equivalent, or

  • Air Traffic Control (ATC) systems and Voice Switch System experience

  • Exposure to Capella software, Melody Design an advantage
