Amazon Australia is currently looking for a data-driven Product Manager who has a flair for marketing to own, build and develop our most important customer-facing programs for Australians, with a focus on parents.


What’s involved in this role? It’s fair to say that no two days are alike – so this position suits someone who enjoys variety and problem-solving.



You’ll be working to:


· Develop relationships with Aussie parents by creating meaningful points of engagement

· Deliver product tech and feature innovation
· Build and lead partnership programs as part of a compelling marketing plan
· Uncover global best practice, by analysing data and learnings including from Amazon's global network to ensure Australian parents have the best possible shopping experience

To excel in this role, you will:
- be passionate about the customer experience and delivering innovative enhancements on their behalf
- be willing to "roll up your sleeves", operate with limited guidance and prioritise effectively in a fast-moving environment
- partner with internal marketing teams such as Associates, Email and Social Media to plan, execute and analyse marketing campaigns
- have strong collaborative interpersonal skills, able to influence remote tech teams, and work closely with local functional teams like PR, Advertising, Operations and Amazon Prime
- bring a sharp analytical mind, enhanced excel skills (and ideally SQL) and a deep curiosity about how things work
- possess strong project management skills and operational rigor, holding your program stakeholders accountable to the highest of standards
- be commercially savvy, have excellent business judgment and a passion for customer marketing, including experience developing and bring marketing plans to life

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS


- Bachelor’s degree

- Sector knowledge across at least one of retail, operations, or business/brand management

- A proven track record of managing and executing large projects from start to finish, transitioning them into products as applicable and delivering impactful results

- Experience in a marketing environment with exposure to tech

- Extremely strong written and verbal communication skills

- High attention to detail and proven ability to manage multiple, competing priorities simultaneously

- Superior analytical skills including enhanced excel, but also strong bias for action

- Ability to operate simultaneously and effectively in both tactical and strategic modes

- High threshold for working and thriving in an ambiguous, fast paced environment – figuring it out and adapting as you go

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

- MBA or similar post-graduate qualification

- Experience in a tech environment

- Experience of building marketing and go-to-market plans for products and/or services: marketing qualifications a plus

- SQL skills desirable

- Experience of working in a start-up/early stage environment where you define best practice for your function
