HSBC has an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic Senior Training Manager to join our dynamic People Experience Team. This permanent position is well suited to an individual who has a passion for a thriving and supportive workplace, open to different ideas and cultures and who enjoys working in a fast paced team environment.

Based within our People Experience Department, you will work closely with all areas of our Contact Centre and Customer Relations Department. This role is responsible for leading the accreditation training and ongoing support for new recruits to ensure each trainee is equipped with the necessary skills to perform their role whilst maintaining compliance with all processes and regulations delivering maximum satisfaction to our customers. This exciting position is looking for an experienced candidate open to building a successful career with HSBC.

To be successful in this position you will be customer focused, with excellent written communication skills. A background in banking and finance, with an understanding of the banking regulatory landscape. Industry experience in complaint management would be advantageous.

The Key Responsibilities Of The Role Are

  • Deliver high quality effective training and coaching across retail banking products and complaint management
  • Develop and maintain training and coaching materials and ensure training is completed in accordance with training plans
  • Take full accountability for the leadership, coaching, performance throughout training and academy contributing to best in class standards and accreditation
  • Ensures all pre and post course preparations are done in a systematic and planned manner
  • Embed a Best Place to Work environment for all new recruits
  • Act as a role model for our Group values and behaviours, actively engaging with the team, colleagues and customers to deliver Superior Customer Service
  • Complete all administrative tasks including material duplication, manual assembly, supplies requisition, certificate completion, schedule preparation, room readiness and applicable tracking and reporting of information
To Be Successful In This Role, You Will Need
  • Extensive experience in a customer relations environment or related position, preferably in financial services (5+ years’ experience)
  • Sound knowledge of financial regulatory guidelines
  • Openness to working flexible shifting schedules
  • Understanding of internal control, risk management (operations), and quality audit parameters
  • Experience in creating curriculum, presentations and facilitator guides.
  • Computer literacy (word processing, spread sheets and database applications)
  • Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills, with the ability to express ideas clearly and concisely
  • Comprehensive Credit Reporting Experience
  • Ability to adapt in a dynamic and fast-paced environment, continually demonstrating professionalism and confidence
