DXC Managed Security Services is the specialist, Cyber Security division of DXC Technology. Our team provides a broad portfolio of security services offering end-to-end operational management of market-leading technologies and security services for local and multinational clients.

The Security Service Champion (SSC) will act as an extension of the customer’s Cyber Operations and Engineering team. The SSC will be responsible for the implementation of new, or significant changes to (e.g. upgrades, additional components, re-engineering of existing) cyber-security solutions and technologies for the customer with a strong focus on continuous service improvement and automation. DXC will offer a number of managed services across Identity, Cloud Security, Workforce, and Security Operations domains and the SSC will provide vision, oversight and subject matter expertise across each of them.

For this role we are seeking candidates who have had exposure to network or security technologies in an enterprise environment and can deliver to high standards in a service-oriented environment. As a SSC, you will be a senior point of contact for the customer, operational and architectural and other technical and non-technical stakeholders. A proactive and professional attitude is essential.

Role Responsibilities

  • Work in partnership with the customer and other parties to enhance the security posture of the customer organisation.
  • Mentor team members to foster a continuous learning environment
  • Facilitate continuous improvement of security services
  • Facilitate automation of security services
  • Provide operations support including security incident response as needed
  • Ownership and maintenance of service documentation.
  • Ensure alignment of DXC service delivery within industry best practices
  • Dotted Line reporting into the customer Cyber Security leadership team for various deliverables and other tasks
  • Maintain partner relationships and provide necessary governance over suppliers on behalf of the customer

Skills And Experience
  • 3+ years in a Cyber Security or related discipline with broad domain knowledge across enterprise architecture, enterprise security controls, identity, AWS, Azure, networking, operating systems and scripting.
  • Tertiary qualifications in IT, Security or a related field (or equivalent experience)
  • Sufficient depth and breadth of security technical knowledge to be individually responsible for the run and management of deliverables within a field of expertise.
  • Scripting experience in one or more general purpose languages.
  • Mastered at least one technical discipline with strong knowledge in at least three major security technology areas.
  • Ability to perform/drive resolution of problems on combinations and interactions of products.
  • Ability to apply technology and consulting to solve a client business problem.
  • Able to communicate and present complex issues with assurance and confidence.
  • Demonstrates the use of consulting skills including questioning, listening, ideas development, permission, and rapport, and influencing.
  • Ability to conduct/lead oral status/technical interchange meetings with the customer.
  • Ability to translate technical details into concise and easy to understand written form.
  • Able to discuss (within own area of expertise) requirements with a customer, and to challenge and clarify when appropriate.
  • Able to advise the engagement owner about the risks associated with the services

  • Completion of other Cloud Related Certifications (AWS, Azure, GCP)
  • Completion of other Vendor Related Certifications (Palo Alto, Splunk)
  • Completion of other Security Related Certifications (CISSP, CSSP, ACSAP, OSCP )
This position will be based on the customer site located in Sydney CBD.
