Assistant Project Officer with extensive complaint management experience required to join NSW State Government, commencing ASAP

  • $347.48 - $383.39 per day + Super, depending on experience | 21 hours per week
  • NSW State Government | Parramatta and WFH Opportunity
  • ASAP Start | Estimated 2-month temporary assignment, potential to extend
Our large NSW State Government client is responsible for the states social housing portfolio. They are currently seeking a Assistant Project Officer with extensive maintenance and facilities management experience to join their team. This is a working from home opportunity with the requirement to be flexible to work in Parramatta on Monday’s or Fridays. This is an estimated 2-month temporary assignment, with a potential to extend.

Reporting to the Manager, you will be responsible for the critical efficient functioning of the stakeholder engagement and operation business unit ensuring that all complaint matters are actioned within delegated timeframes. You will assist the team in contacting tenants and advocates to ensure that complaints and issues are addressed efficiently and effectively to mitigate risks or further escalation of damaging the reputation of the organisation.

In this rewarding role, you will be undertaking the following duties:

  • Act as first point of contact, delivering exceptional customer service
  • Resolve all customer complaints and issues in a timely and accurate manner ensuring delegated timeframes are met
  • Contact tenants and advocates to gather and collate all information to assist in resolving complaints and issues
  • Investigate and provide routine updates to customers regarding their complaints
  • Generate and prepare documentation including briefs, reports and correspondence in response to complaints
  • Work collaboratively with a wide range of stakeholders including NSW Housing Tenants, maintenance vendors and contractors
  • Records and database management, ensuring confidentiality, accuracy and high integrity in accordance with standards and guidelines
  • Manage, sort and distribute incoming and outgoing mail
  • Register requests and correspondence, coordinate and distribute workflow accordingly
  • Participate in the development and implementation of continuous improvement initiatives
  • Ensure compliance with Departmental processes and procedures

To be successful in this great assignment you will have the following:
  • Demonstrated Assistant Project, Administration and Business Support experience
  • Facilities maintenance administration experience highly desirable
  • Impeccable communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Solid negotiation, problem solving and conflict resolution skills
  • Superior organisational skills and ability to multi-task and prioritise conflicting deadlines
  • Strong computer literacy and proficiency in MS Office suite, Excel and TRIM
  • High attention to detail
  • Takes initiative, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Willingness to undergo a National Police Check
  • Reliable internet access and flexibility to work on a Monday or Friday
  • Ability to commence and commit to the duration of the assignment
