About the role:

The Registered Nurse position at Blayney Multipurpose Health Service is pivotal in the provision of care to our patients and residents living at our facility This role requires a dynamic and motivated person, who has sound knowledge and experience in the provision of Acute, Emergency and Aged Care Services with a focus on the person at the centre of everything we do.

You will join one of the world’s leading and connected rural health services as a Registered Nurse(RN) where we are driven by a single goal; healthier rural people- thriving communities.

Patient care is the heart of an RN in western NSW. The RN is responsible for providing nursing care to patients/clients of the health service; leading and supervising other nurses (Enrolled Nurses and Assistants in Nursing), and collaborating with physicians and other care roles in the team to coordinate and deliver care. The RN has leadership skills and clinical judgement which is trusted and valued to coordinate patient care and direct activities of the care team.

Where you’ll be working:
Blayney Multi Purpose Service, a part of the Western NSW Local Health District. Blayney is located in the Central Tablelands of NSW, 243 kilometres west of Sydney, 40 kilometres from picturesque Orange and only 38 kilometres from Bathurst. Blayney is primarily an agricultural town but also includes large mining and mineral exploration industries.

Blayney was redeveloped to become a Multipurpose Service (MPS) in 2003. It has five acute/sub-acute beds, 20 high care residential aged care places and four transitional aged care beds. Services include 24-hour emergency care and outpatient services, ambulatory care services, transitional aged care services and a range of integrated primary and community health care services supported by the onsite HealthOne.
