We currently have a fantastic opportunity to join our team as People Business Partner (full time,12-month fixed term maternity leave cover) for Merlin Entertainments Australia and New Zealand.

About the Role
Reporting to the Head of People – ANZ, the People Business Partner – RoANZ oversees all HR related activities across five attractions. This is a fantastic opportunity for a strong HR professional to bring their People & Culture skills to a unique environment.

With both a strategic and operational focus, this role offers experience in a global organisation where HR is truly valued. You will partner with business leaders and attraction teams to ensure we are delivering on our business objectives and delivering memorable experiences to all who walk through our doors.

Key focuses of this role include:

  • Playing a pivotal role in the re-negotiation of our Enterprise Agreement
  • Effectively partnering with the business on all employment-related issues, in line with legislation and operational requirements
  • Championing employee engagement
  • Developing strong rapport with all levels within the organisation to influence commercially savvy business decisions
  • Collaborating with the ANZ and Global HR teams on national projects and tasks, participating actively in the creation and delivery of the HR strategy
  • Leadership of one direct report, a People Administrator

What You Bring
To succeed in this role you will have:

  • Previous experience in EA negotiations
  • Strong HR generalist experience, particularly in managing complex ER/IR cases
  • Ability to influence, negotiate and build meaningful relationships with key stakeholders
  • A passion for delivering a brilliant employee experience
  • A natural curiosity around motivating people and shaping better ways of doing things
  • Tertiary HR-related qualification (or relevant experience)
