Role: Senior Support Officer (31 December 2021)

Position Summary: 

Reporting to the Testing Coordination Team, this role supports the team to deliver the COVID-19 testing model. Key aspects of the role include coordinating the logistics around setting up and bringing down the COVID-19 testing sites.

Responsibilities

  • Support the Testing Coordination Team in ensuring the physical environment for testing sites is suitable and in keeping with government COVID-19 guidelines.
  • Coordinate the team in site set-up and pack down and in responding to issues on the ground at testing sites
  • Coordinate engagement with logistics contractors and problem solve site-specific issues or escalate as required
  • Support smooth operations of testing sites from an on-site perspective through procurement and distribution of items, actioning invoices, travelling to potential testing sites and reporting any high-risk issues to the management.
  • Support operational planning and management for the delivery of testing sites and logistics operations as required.
  • Build and maintain positive relationships with key stakeholders to facilitate a partnership approach.
  • Keep accurate and complete records of your work activities in accordance with legislative requirements and the department's records, information security and privacy policies and requirements.
  • Demonstrate how the actions and outcomes of this role and work unit impact clients and the department's ability to deliver, or facilitate the delivery of, effective support and services
  • Take utmost care for your own health and safety and for that of others in the workplace by working in accordance with legislative requirements and the department's occupational health and safety (OHS) policies and procedures.
