The opportunity:

Our Buildings business creates integrated, multi-layered solutions that specialise in combining building services & intelligent automated systems. Our solutions enable owners, end users and custodians (such as; Commercial buildings, Hospitals and Data Centers), to intelligently monitor, meter and control the attributes of their assets in real time, reducing consumption and improving reliability and quality.

We have an exciting opportunity for a Technical Solutions Engineer to join our buildings business. Located in Melbourne and reporting through to the Manager of Services this position plays a critical role in growing our offer across our current customer base.

The day to day:

While no two days are the same, our Technical Solutions Engineer typically actions the following:

  • Develop accurate, relevant, consistent and competitive pricing estimates for customers
  • Identify opportunities to upgrade, enhance and expand Schneiders offerings for current customers
  • Partner with Account Managers to develop technical roadmaps for customers
  • Be a trusted advisor by establishing and maintaining strong working relationships
  • Provide technical leadership to the internal sales team and customers

The perfect fit:

You are someone who gets excited by innovation. You don’t shy away from a technical conversation and are focused, collaborative and passionate about sustainability outcomes. We don’t want to narrow the field; however, we do believe that instrumental to your success in this role will be the following skills:
  • Tertiary qualification in electrical/mechanical or related fields
  • High level of building services and intelligent automated systems knowledge with a minimum three years industry experience (preferably in a sales role)
  • Demonstrated knowledge of engineering and estimating processes
  • Ability to write clear technical documents for presentation to internal and external stakeholders
  • High level of customer service with excellent communication and interpersonal skills
