JOB DESCRIPTION

Windows Cloud Data Migration Administrator required for a new contract role within a large NSW Government Agency.

  • 12 Month Contract
  • Daily Rate: $700 plus super
  • Location: Inner West & WFH
  • NSW Government

The Role:

  • This position is a Windows Systems Administrator, working within a technical team to develop scalable, enterprise grade solutions to uplift and migrate local onsite Windows file servers to cloud based solutions. The candidate should have a strong understanding of the Windows platform and be familiar with cloud-based technologies in areas such as Microsoft Azure and Google workspace.
  • The candidate best suited for this role, is someone interested in working in a large scaled complex environment. A person with an enthusiastic and motivated approach to the workplace, while striving to deliver a quality product without close supervision. The candidate should be able to work within a strong dynamic team as well as on their own and demonstrating accountability and ownership to the role.
  • The candidate should have a strong understanding of the Windows platform and be familiar with cloud-based storage solutions, such as One Drive, Teams, Azure file store, Google Workspace. They will need to demonstrate sound experience in vendor supported migration techniques to these platforms.

Essential Criteria:

  • Proven experience with Windows file server data migration techniques to Azure cloud, with particular focus on Azure file sync.
  • Proven experience with customer data migration to Microsoft One Drive and Google drive.
  • Minimum 5 years technical experience with Microsoft Server technologies within a medium to large environment.
  • Strong knowledge of the Azure platform, including storage space configuration and monitoring, bulk data uplift and customer data access.
  • Proven experience in Windows scripting automation using PowerShell.
  • Proven ability in troubleshooting complex technical issues and articulating those outcomes to peers and senior staff.
  • Ability to work within a team to deliver outcomes on time and to an agreed schedule.
  • Strong communication and documentation skills.
