What We Are Looking For

Working from our Redbank MILVEHCOE facility, you will work as part of our internal IT team (of 16), supporting a growing business of 500+ employees. As we continue to grow our workforce year on year, the IT team supports with various infrastructure, systems and process improvement projects that continue to enhance the organisation nationally and internationally.

About The Role

As a Project Manager in IT, you will manage a number of complex projects that are required to ensure that the RDA IT team can continually deliver results as the business grows. The primary role initially will be to develop and plan our Data Sovereignty and build up cyber security capability. There will also be a number of SAP related projects to support our SAP Application team to rollout.

As Project Manager IT, you can anticipate some of your day-to-day tasks to include:

  • Create project plans with clearly defined scope, budget, start and end dates;
  • Leading project planning brainstorming sessions with various business functions;
  • Establish, build and manage stakeholder relationships both internally and externally;
  • Manage project progress and reviews including risk mitigation, all incoming and outgoing project documentation and providing detailed reporting as required for senior management;
  • Participate in tender processes (eg. Design, submission and review); and
  • Working closely with fellow IT team members both here and in Germany to optimize improvement, growth, support and development opportunities for the department.

What Qualifications You Should Have

The experience and skillset best suited to this role include:

  • Tertiary qualifications in an IT related discipline advantageous;
  • Formal qualification / certifications in Project Management i.e. Prince2, PMP, CPMP etc;
  • Proven experience managing multiple complex projects and project resources including vendors and multiple service providers using PM methodologies;
  • Experience in managing project specific to cyber security;
  • Strong understanding of SAP based systems and technology;
  • Demonstrated strong interpersonal communication, consultation and negotiation skills;
  • Be eligible for an Australian Government Security Clearance and have the capacity to satisfy pre-employment screening; and
  • An ability to travel internationally and interstate when and if required.
