About the Role

We are looking for an experienced senior business analyst to join our Personalization tribe within Endeavour X. The business analyst will be across three squads on a mission ‘To storm the drinks industry by providing the very best customer experience via in depth customer insights that drive smart, 360 degree, hyper personalised experiences’.

Role Requirements:

The Senior Business Analyst will work across three squads and provide analytical capabilities to solving problems, break up of work and support the broader program in delivering solutions to solve customer and business problems.

The Business Analyst will also support the Product Manager in maintaining and optimising the initiative and epic product backlog in line with business prioritisation, and support the delivery leads of individual squads with the pipeline, high level requirements and aligning the requirements with the right squad.

The Business Analyst ensures that the squads are set for success by identifying and defining needs, opportunities and recommending solutions by facilitating a collaborative approach to maximize the value delivered to our customers and stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

  • Working with business and stakeholders to understand problems and opportunities; impacts and Outcomes
  • Working in a structured fashion flushing out items in program level backlog and building the pipeline requirements for the sprints ahead
  • Assisting the Product Manager to create and refine the program / Squad Backlog
  • Liaising with and stakeholders and squad members to identify opportunities that would drive the business towards achieving the OKRs (Objectives & Key Results)
  • Working closely with business and technical partners to understand customer and business problems to translate into Epics/User Stories (e.g. functional or non-functional requirements) in partnership with squads
  • Aligning with developers and data scientists while translating business requirements into technical stories and acceptance criteria
  • Ensuring the stories created by the squads are of good quality, eg. size, include a Definition of Ready, Definition of Done, Acceptance Criteria for testing (both functionally and non functionally).
  • Having a data driven mindset in identifying customer problems using data from analytics, insights from customer surveys, user testing and heat-mapping
  • Working with the PO and Delivery Lead to create a rich Roadmap/Backlog for the squad
  • Story slicing, user story documentation and defining acceptance criteria
  • Collaborating with external teams who can support the Squad during solution delivery, mapping out dependencies with the Delivery Lead and planning mitigation
  • Other traditional BA responsibilities, including running Discovery workshops, facilitating ideation sessions, current state analysis, gap analysis, feasibility analysis and process mapping and project managing of RAPIDs/RACIs.
  • Ensuring the business and technical components of the solution collectively provide the outcome for the customer

The ideal candidate 

  • 6+ years experience as a business analyst in analytics, preferably with 1-2 years as a lead business analyst
  • Strong business and commercial acumen - ability to transform the WHAT into the WHY
  • Proven track record as a business and technical BA on AI / ML initiatives
  • Exposure / Experience with statistical tools Python / R.
  • Solid experience working on Agile projects
  • Knowledge of advanced statistical or machine learning techniques (e.g. regression, clustering & segmentation)
  • Will have an analytical mindset, and is able to break a complex problem into pieces, ask the right questions, and propose recommendations
  • Have a solid experience in eliciting business, functional and non-functional requirements as user stories and acceptance criteria that provide a solid foundation for the design and implementation of appropriate solutions
  • (Nice to have) Experience with website personalisation, A/B Testing, data management platforms and audience segmentation
  • Experience in the Atlassian suite, managing product boards and project documentation
  • Adaptive style and ability to influence outcomes with stakeholders
  • Team player with excellent communication skills
  • Have an Agile mindset and value Agile principles and practices
