JOB DESCRIPTION

Our client, a large organisation, has an exciting opportunity for candidates looking for a comprehensive work and learning experience in the Wheatbelt region in a Drive In Drive Out (DIDO) role. The ideal applicants will have previously been signed up as an apprentice and looking for a new workplace to continue their electrical apprenticeship. Ideally, they will have at least completed their first year and progressed into their second year.

About the role

We are seeking two 2nd to 4th Year Electrical Apprentice to join our team. Ideally, we are seeking someone who is in their 4th year but are open to re-commencing apprentices at other stages of their apprenticeship.

This role is for immediate start as of 14th June and on a 11 and 3 roster, located in the Wheatbelt area.

What’s on offer:

  • Accommodation will be provided – you will be staying at a local tavern, have own room and may have to share a bathroom.
  • $55 per day for meals.
  • DIDO from Perth - You may leave your car and keys at the workshop when heading to work for the 11 days. Cars will be left in the workshop during the night then parked outside during the day. Company vehicle taken out to site.
  • You are paid the minute you leave the workshop and when you leave the tavern to head out to site.
  • The work you will be involved in includes laying conduit, pulling cables, for weigh bridges, conveyor belt systems and onsite offices.

Prior to commencing with the employer, the following is required:

  • Provide mobile phone number.
  • Provide a selfie photo which displays shoulders to top of head.
  • Provide copies of current licences and certificates (i.e. white card, electrical licence, drivers licence, hazardous area if applicable, EWP, working at heights, confined space, etc).
  • Provide a current lab drug and alcohol, current within the last 28 days, from date of commencing.
  • Complete attached WCP Civil Induction (4 pages) and return.
  • Complete online 2 x CBH Induction (maximum time to complete 2 hours). The link can only be sent once the selfie photos, mobile number and licences and certificates are supplied.
  • Supply signed CBH Fit for Work document.
