Salary Package circa $135K

With a new Strategic Community Plan, the Town of Bassendean has commenced a process of transformation, with a focus on community capacity building, sustainability and the environment, governance and financial management. We are looking for a dynamic Manager Finance who will thrive in a high performing leadership team. The successful candidate will work with the Director of Corporate Services to help transform the business and develop an environment where people are empowered to provide outstanding services.

As a local government authority, this is a place where you can really make a difference in the community. This position has overall strategic and operational responsibility for Council's financial planning, policies and processes, budgets and reporting.

About the Role

With a small finance team, this is a hands-on role, responsible for the strategic and operational management of the Town’s finance function, including rates, and the Town’s customer services. The position is part of the Corporate Services leadership team and is a key advisor to Council and Corporate Executive across a broad range of financial issues and makes a significant contribution on all elements of integrated planning and reporting initiatives.

Salary & Benefits

The salary package for this role is circa $135,000, inclusive of base salary, cash allowance in lieu of a motor vehicle of $13,000, 10% superannuation and five week’s annual leave per year. This is a Fixed Term Contract for up to 5 years.

The Town also offers up to 5% additional superannuation (conditions apply), 17.5% leave loading, flexible working hours including working from home arrangements, free parking, ongoing training and personal development, and two additional holiday days per calendar year.
