The Role
As the successful candidate you will develop and deliver NDT training and assessment activities at NDT&CT and coordinate administrative and equipment support to facilitate learning and development activities. You will be required to perform NDT Level 3 duties for specific NDT methods/techniques.

Working to engage stakeholders, you will identify their learning and development requirements and implement effective learning interventions to satisfy their needs, including the development and update of courseware material. The role requires you to ensure instructional materials is ready and suitable for delivery and maintain consistency with Defence training policy. You may also be required to ensure compliance with work health safety legislation and Defence safety policy.

About our Team
The Non Destructive Testing and Composite Technologies (NDT&CT) section is part of the Defence Aviation Safety Authority. We provide training, engineering support and subject matter expertise in Non-Destructive Testing and Aviation Composite Technologies to Defence. NDT&CT is located at RAAF Base Amberley, which is Air Force’s largest base, employing over 5,000 uniformed and civilian personnel. The Training Development and Delivery team provide NDT training consistent with Defence training policies.

Our Ideal Candidate
We are looking for an experienced Learning and Development Officer who is resourceful and will be able to initiate and coordinate NDT training and assessment activities independently.

As a collaborator you will be able to work with a diverse range of stakeholders to achieve training and education outcomes. You will be accustomed to working in a highly regulated environment and demonstrate the agility to remain accountable to relevant governance and controls which direct learning activities. You may also be required to ensure compliance with work health safety legislation and Defence safety policy.
