Landscape Planner (Entry Level)

Mulloon Consulting

Flexible workplace, Townsville region preferred, Queensland

Salary etc:

Full-time, Part-time.

At Mulloon Consulting (MC) we demonstrate and share regenerative methods of land management. Our innovative approach works to re-establish the natural function, fertility and resilience of agricultural landscapes and incorporates the work of a range of ground-breaking regenerative farmers.

MC is a wholly owned subsidiary of the Mulloon Institute, a world class research, education and advocacy organisation. We provide technical advice to landholders on restoring natural landscape function; landscape rehydration; and rebuilding soil fertility.

You will be part of a small close knit team that works with landholders and government to: identify and document planning goals; recognise management issues and generate innovative management solutions including detailed designs for surface and groundwater management; achieve regulatory approval for projects; undertake outreach, education and capacity building; and identify appropriate regenerative land management measures.

You will have the opportunity for mentoring from our more senior technical team and for developing your skills and working independently. Reporting to senior Landscape Planners in MC, you will be an important team member, helping to build our reputation for technical excellence and helping to deliver the goals of MC and the Mulloon Institute.

If you possess technical skills in hydrology for landscape rehydration and are passionate about affecting change in regenerative environmental and agricultural practices, you would be well-suited for this role.

  • Permanent part-time or full-time (negotiable). Initially 6-month probationary period.
  • Be part of a team working to deliver innovative landscape rehydration to the broader community in a consultancy setting.
  • Work with landholders and government organisations to progress their goals and build knowledge of regenerative landscape management.
