About the role:
An exciting and rewarding opportunity has become available for a highly motivated individual to join Telstra Enterprise in Canberra as a Client Partner servicing the Federal Government account.

As a Client Partner, you will apply your deep knowledge and expertise, to promote and sell service-based technology solutions, particularly in the following technology domains of Network, Security, Mobility, Data, Infrastructure and Cloud.

As a senior member of the team, you will play a critical and strategic role in growing the Federal Government portfolio. You will leverage your strong interpersonal skills to engage stakeholders across the accounts to understand business requirements, propose innovative solutions and embed a customer-first mindset across the team and organisation. You will lead productive relationships with a defined portfolio of clients of strategic business importance to Telstra, with the aim of retention and profitable growth of the portfolio.

You will provide strategic account management and have revenue and profit accountability that requires a high level of engagement with business decision makers and executives. Your leadership will position you as a trusted business advisor to your customers and will enable you to communicate technological insights with authority. You will also be responsible for opportunity identification and technical qualification in Telstra’s strategic technology and telecommunications lines of business.

Please note all candidates must be Australian Citizens and hold a current AGSVA Baseline or NV1 security clearance or be eligible to undergo the security clearance vetting process. This role will require you to hold and maintain at a minimum a Baseline security clearance.

Your key responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

Establishing/managing client relationships and the ongoing development of relationships to achieve client satisfaction, including executive-level client contact plans across multiple business units.

Communicating with deep technical acumen the value of Telstra ICT, security, workplace and application solutions to articulate benefits to clients.

Driving significant new ICT, security, workplace and application services business opportunities to Telstra.

Taking ownership of the client relationship and responsibility for meeting/exceeding portfolio growth and retention objectives.

Partnering with clients to develop a deep understanding of their business needs, issues and strategies and implementing a clear strategy to influence key customer stakeholders via a program of business advisory consultancy, workshop facilitation and strategic planning sessions.

Engaging widely within Telstra to help communicate full Telstra capability to customers.

Creating and facilitating productive long-term CxO and key stakeholder relationships.

Utilising strong technical services and market insights to clearly articulate Telstra capabilities and align them to clients’ business imperatives.

To be successful in the role, you must:
Hold current Baseline or NV1 Security Clearance or be eligible to undergo the security clearance vetting process.

Be based in ACT - existing relationships in the local market is highly desirable.

Have extensive and proven experience and expertise in a similar sales or account management role.

Be customer-focused and possess strong consultative and proven leadership skills.

Have excellent interpersonal and communication skills as well as attention to detail.

Have strong commercial acumen and demonstrated experience in complex deal negotiation experience.

Possess extensive ICT, security, cloud, workplace and applications sales experience.

Have experience with account planning to deliver technology-driven outcomes for customers.

Have proven consultative experience in selling software/technology sales, telecommunications or services into large organisations.

Have experience selling Network and Services Product solutions.

Have a proven track record of developing and maintaining multi-level relationships and engagements, both within the organisation and with clients.

Have proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

Hold tertiary qualifications in a business related or ICT field.
