Full Job Description
Program of work requires an IT Support Officer to join their IT Support team in Canberra. This role is responsible for delivering 1st Level technical support on the organisation's Information and Communications Technology (ICT) network to our clients across the globe.

Support is provided via a number of channels including, phone, email, instant message, and direct contact. Supported services may include (but are not limited to) laptops, workstations, mobile devices, software, peripheral hardware, system administration, video conferencing and networking.

The successful candidate will work well in a small team, have well developed customer service skills, and be at ease managing multiple tasks.

This is a four-month contract with a potential extension option.

BASELINE CLEARANCE MANDATORY

Support is provided via a number of channels including, phone, email, instant message, and direct contact. Supported services may include (but are not limited to) laptops, workstations, mobile devices, software, peripheral hardware, system administration, video conferencing and networking.

The successful candidate will work well in a small team, have well developed customer service skills, and be at ease managing multiple tasks.

Note: The IT Support Officer must be willing to work an 8-hour shift between 8am and 6pm, with some rostered work outside these hours.

This is a four-month contract with a potential extension option.

BASELINE CLEARANCE MANDATORY

Key Responsibilities

Identify, record, diagnose and resolve IT Level 1 client issues and enquiries.

Perform Level 1 IT system administration tasks.

Coordinate the timely repair of ICT equipment with vendors.

Contribute to the IT Support Knowledge Articles

Assist in supporting/implementing IT solutions as directed and needed.

Perform document administration tasks as directed.

Work effectively in a small team as part of a global support network.

Essential Skills and Requirements

Experience providing 1st Level support in a Microsoft and Cisco environment.

Well-developed written and oral communication skills including the ability to convey information clearly and to listen and respond to others appropriately.

The ability to organise/manage competing priorities and tasks to meet deadlines. Sound time management skills and strategies.

Prior experience in a client focused IT service delivery environment.

The ability to perform general office administration tasks, with particular attention to detail and accuracy.

Strong team skills including the ability to work effectively in a small team as part of a global support network.

Awareness of the digital environment and how to engage with clients in a digital first manner.

Confidently use digital workplace tools to solve problems, be productive, connect and collaborate with others.

Desirable Technical Proficiency:
A relevant technical qualification

1-3 years in a technical support role
