The Role:

As Communications Manager, develop and implement internal and external communications and stakeholder strategies to promote the Defence Estate Works Program brand, ensuring consistency and engaging messaging.

Key Responsibilities:
Support the delivery and promotion of the Defence Estate Works Program
Develop and deliver internal and external communication and engagement strategies
Prepare high-quality, clear and accessible written content that meets the needs of the participants and other audiences and aligns with the EWP
Manage the consistent delivery and improvement of the EWP's communication and stakeholder engagement channels
Develop quality written content, including media releases, briefs, website, social media, scripts, publications and other communication materials
Identify communication gaps or issues and work with business areas to develop communications solutions to meet audience needs
Provide high quality strategic advice to negotiate or influence decisions for improved communication outcomes
Develop creative solutions to communication challenges, focusing on client and audience needs
Demonstrate strong organisational skills and time management, including the ability to manage multiple competing priorities and the flexibility to deliver within the required timeframes

A Bit More:
Work with the client to design communications management deliverables that support their way of working
Build awareness programs for new arrivals to the Estate Works Program, both internal and external
Ensure all key stakeholders are identified for successful implementation to agreed deliverables and timelines
Influence, embed and refresh mindsets and behaviours for alignment to the E&IG business models.
Produce creative materials to support the desired communications management outcomes such as videos, case studies, testimonials, collateral etc.
Monitor and measure the business impact through surveys, feedback and engagement sessions
Present and engage with teams to target interest and advocacy in the Estate Works Program.

About you:
Minimum 8 years' experience
Tertiary qualifications in Communications, Marketing, Public Relations or equivalent experience essential
Government sector experience highly desirable and will be considered first
Experience in the development and delivery of communication, marketing and community awareness initiatives
Experience in brand management, media engagement, and stakeholder engagement
Highly developed written and presentation skills
Knowledge of business processes
Enthusiastic and have a passion for delivering extraordinary results
