Your Role and Responsibilities
What will I be doing?
The Mainframe Security Specialist will be responsible for providing security technical support for a customers running on z/OS operating system. They will manage z/OS security system settings and assist technical support teams with system and subsystem security for mainframe computing environment.
As the Mainframe Security Specialist you will develop new procedures or processes independently or through the team to complex problems, analyze situations, implement solutions as needed to re-mediate issues. You will use existing and implement new procedures and standardized tools to resolve problems and provide input into the implementation of enhancements to prevent problems from recurring.
As part of your role you will evaluate and assist in configuring software product interfaces, support upgrades of IBM-supported products, test new release and maintenance upgrades for the z/OS security systems. You will also Implement new procedures or processes independently or through the team to resolve problems, analyze situations, and implement solutions as needed to remediate issues, and also keep accounts audit ready as required by IBM Corporate and commercial accounts standards. You will work effectively to negotiate with technical peers, and occasionally with customers, to implement technical solutions

Required Technical and Professional Skills:
Experience Required:
7 years + Security experience (in IBM Mainframe Environment)
RACF Advanced (RACF utilities IRR*, RACF and digital certificates, RRSF, PassTickets, Program signing and verification)
Knowledge of REXX to support JCL for Security jobs & Security Applications.
Knowledge of CICS and DB2 is a plus

Technical Skills;
Technical and administrative knowledge of RACF and ACF2 security software is a must.
Experience in RACF definitions and support for the Mainframe Infrastructure in a large Z/OS environment.
Experience in ACF2 definitions and support for the Mainframe Infrastructure in a large Z/OS environment.
Experience with z/OS operating systems, JCL & CLIST entries.
Maintain all Security applications and security batch jobs, with knowledge of JCL.
2nd & 3rd Level Support for ID Admin & Technical Security Operations.
Support Audits - incl writing/scheduling reports and writing Security Standard documents to evidence. Maintenance of high privileged accounts on the Mainframe
Desirable - Knowledge and experience in maintaining CA/Netmaster NCL code.

Research and Professional skills;
Good personal computer and business solutions software skills.
Strong communication skills to interact with team members, customers, management and support personnel.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills for design, creation and testing of security systems.
Experience with preparing for and participating in mainframe security audits
Experience maintaining mainframe security compliance with policies
Ability to troubleshoot technical security problems
Documenting processes and procedures.
Strong capability to plan & organise priorities, with the ability to take initiative, and recognize and prioritize critical tasks independently.
You will be self-motivated individual, who is capable to manage their ability to deliver to highly complex or challenging scenarios.
You must also be an Australian Citizen with Australian Government clearance of NV1 (Negative Vetting Level 1), or the capability to obtain NV1 clearance.
