Where you'll be working
This position is located at Hornsby Ku-ring-gai Hospital.

What you'll be doing The Administration Officer will manage the provision of accurate, timely and efficient high level administrative and customer support to the Hornsby community Child and Youth Mental Health Service to support the achievement of the departments set goals, including answering the central phone number, answering general enquiries, greeting of consumers and other visitors to the service, making assessment appointments, overseeing room bookings, filing, photocopying, data entry, diary, medical record management, meeting minutes and agenda's and other appropriately delegated duties.
Candidates will need to meet the following criteria:

  3. Highly professional phone manner a demonstrated ability to be able to appropriately respond to callers who may be experiencing high levels of distress or anxiety.
  4. Well-developed computer skills including demonstrated ability and proven track-record in in data entry and maintaining of databases.
  5. Demonstrated ability to work effectively independently and as part of a team with minimal supervision, using initiative within policy and directives.
  6. Demonstrated high level oral and written communication skills with the capacity to produce reports and prepare technical documents with accuracy and clarity.
  7. Demonstrated commitment to providing a high quality, professional and consumer focused service.
  8. Demonstrated flexibility with work duties and location.
