G & G Tiling

G & G Tiling is a family owned and operated business with over 50 years of experience servicing commercial builders and corporate clients who are looking for a professional, forward thinking team to provide a complete tiling package from selection through to completion of works. 

Due to continued growth and successful, G&G Tiling are seeking an experienced finance and project administrator to join their team. To be successful in this role you will be experienced in payroll, accounts management, contract management and general administration to join the team.

What you will be doing and will be responsible for:

Reporting to the Managing Director, the Finance and Project Administrator will be responsible for the financial aspects of the business including XERO, Accounts Receivables, Payroll, General Ledger, ATO/Legislative components, commercial contract management and general administration duties.

Key Responsibilities:

  • defining and directing the administration tasks required of G & G Tiling in each project
  • maintain an effective relationship with all stakeholders
  • project procurement, cost tracking, contract management
  • communication with clients and project team to ensure exceptional service
  • communication with suppliers and representatives.
  • project claims and invoice processing in Buildxact and XERO and following up debtors including retentions.
  • payroll processing from onboarding through to termination including, Superannuation, STP finalisation and Payment Summaries
  • processing general accounting duties including XERO bookkeeping and daily reconciliation, ATO/IAS & BAS, Annual tasks such as TPAR, RTWSA reconciliation
  • stock verification and reconciliation, asset depreciation reporting and liaising with external accountant and managing their requests
  • collaborate with the Project Managers on G & G Tiling’s commercial contracts management reporting to Advisory Board & Managing Director to guide financial decisions for G & G Tiling
  • work alongside Managing Director to produce board meeting reports, including Work in Progress (WIP), Project Forecasting, Tender Conversion rate and at times attendance to Advisory Board meetings at Managing Director’s discretion.
  • contribute to an environment which is based on fairness, honesty, respect, trust and loyalty.

‘What you look like’ and need to demonstrate to be successful’.

  • Qualification in bookkeeping or similar (preferred)
  • Demonstrated financial acumen and knowledge – e.g. bookkeeping, Excel functions and reporting.
  • 3 years’ experience in a similar role within a commercial industry
  • Experience and proficiency in using Xero (essential)
  • Exceptional communication (written and verbal) and relationship management skills
  • Conflict resolution, negotiation and problem-solving skills
  • Exceptional and organised record keeping and attention to detail.
  • Exposure to architectural/construction documentation – e.g. drawings, specifications and schedules.
  • Good keyboard and computer skills with a good working knowledge of Microsoft Suite and familiarity and basic understanding of cloud-based software
