Based in the Illawarra, Ventia’s ‘NSW Industrial’ business group provides a range of contract maintenance and miscellaneous services work for a variety of clients. This includes our longstanding alliance with BlueScope at the Port Kembla Steelworks. Within the BlueScope Plant Maintenance contract, an opportunity exists for an experienced and licenced Electrician to join our team. In this role you will be part of the Clients integrated core team, performing technical and maintenance work on projects, shutdowns and day-to-day maintenance service requests, whilst achieving safety, quality, critical equipment uptime and operational efficiency objectives.

To be successful in this role the following qualification, licences, skills and experience is required:

* Electrician, with a current ‘Electrical Contractor’ or ‘Electrical Supervisor’ licence.
* Ability to apply your sound technical skills within a heavy industry environment.
* OHS General Construction Induction Card (White Card).
* NSW Drivers Licence.
* Demonstrated commitment to Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality standards.
* Problem-solving skills, underpinned by a solid electrical aptitude.
* Flexibility to work in a multi-skilled team and/or autonomously.
* The ability to develop and maintain good working relationships.
* Proactive nature to support your team and the team-based goals.
* Pride in your standard of work with a passion for identifying and implementing improvement opportunities.
* Results driven, coupled with a strong quality focus.
* An effective communicator, both face to face and in writing
