Mental Health Directorate

Mental Health is undergoing substantial directorate growth as consequence of broader Mental Health reforms and has significant current vacancies and forecasts more over the next 2 years to meet currently known reforms.

About the Role

The Workforce Development Partner will be responsible for developing and coordinating the Mental Health Drugs and Alcohol Services (MHDAS) Workforce growth strategy, including;

  • centralised workforce planning and workforce reporting
  • coordinating education partnerships and stakeholder engagement (e.g. Gordon and Deakin)
  • helping to develop, and coordinating, the MHDAS workforce strategy and plan, including recruitment initiatives
  • in conjunction with the Workplace Relation business partner, drafting Change Impact Statements to support growth and business alignment
  • reviewing and improving MHDAS onboarding and orientation activities
  • developing a MHDAS culture plan to support rapid expansion
  • overseeing the management of the centralised MHDAS recruitment framework and activities
  • developing and implementing “best practice” initiatives for attracting, growing and retaining the best talent

This role will work closely with the leadership team of MHDAS, who will provide significant input into developing the workforce strategy.
