We are searching for a like-minded carpenter, with the desire to expand their skillset, work independently, efficiently, and collaboratively to assist the Hall Group & Co reach its progressive goals.

The carpenter will help us execute projects with precision to ensure we meet our clients’ goals, maintaining our high Hall Group standard. Our on-going collaboration and expertise produce the highest quality of work, through a stress-free and seamless process.

Role Description. 

As a Hall Group Carpenter, you would be reporting directly to Project Managers & Site Supervisors. Ideally, you would possess the following capabilities and skills:

The new carpenter will construct primarily with our lift teams, assisting in the successful, strategic and quality delivery of our projects. Key responsibilities include:

  • Working with blueprints or instructions from supervisors
  • Work with materials such as timber, plastic, laminate or drywall.
  • Implement quality craftsmanship with hand and power tools to repair and erect structures.
  • Use levels, rules, plumb bombs, framing squares, an surveying equipment to ensure everything is levels and secure.
  • Install cabinets and mouldings
  • Install wall panelling, trim, and corner guards.
  • Erect scaffold or ladders for assembling structures above ground levels.
  • Erect plastic containment barriers for working in occupied spaces
  • Establish and maintain a safe work environment, including a clean worksite.
  • Install structures and fixtures such as windows, frames, doors, flooring, trim or hardware using carpenter’s hand or power tools.
  • Coordinate with sub-contractors
  • Prep and finish surfaces such as wood and drywall.

Requirements 

  • Proven experience as a carpenter.
  • Hands-on experience in working with carpentry materials
  • Excellent understanding or carpentry techniques and methods of installation and construction
  • Proficient in using electrical and manual equipment and measurement tools (powered saws, hammers, rulers, etc).
  • Ability to read technical documents and drawings
  • Willingness to follow safety guidelines at all times.
  • Good knowledge of English
  • Good understanding of basic math.
  • Good physical condition and endurance.
  • High school diploma; Successful completion of a carpentry apprenticeship is required.
